Dowling College to Integrate GoalQuest FYRe as Standard Component of First Year Experience
First Year Navigator Program Will Become Mandatory Component of First Year Curriculum

New York, New York — June 2nd, 2006

GoalQuest Inc. and Dowling College today announced plans to integrate GoalQuest's FYRe™ (Freshman Year Experience) as a standard component of its first year experience programs. The decision to use FYRe as a primary classroom tool results from its success and popularity among staff, faculty and students during the 2005-2006 school year.

A highly interactive Web-based experience designed to help students transition to college and excel personally and academically, FYRe provides clients with real-time data that identifies students in need. Dowling's FYRe program, known to students as First Year Navigator, covers topics such as time management, campus support resources, academic skills, co-curricular involvement, critical thinking and academic honesty. The program includes GoalQuest Heuristics™, interactive self-tests that enable students to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses and explore new concepts in a compelling format.

Built into FYRe is a powerful survey and assessment engine that tracks factors such as campus disengagement, dissatisfaction, academic problems and other attrition indicators.

For 2006-2007, Dowling's FYRe program will be a highly integrated and mandatory component of several of its first year experience programs.

According to Dr. H.E. Broadbent, vice president for institutional advancement, "Because of the success we experienced with FYRe in its pilot year combined with GoalQuest's expertise in adapting its content to support our FYE curriculum, we have decided to make the program a central component of our college orientation courses. And while FYRe is an excellent tool for the classroom, our experience to date shows that students find it useful whenever they need assistance during their first year."

"We are extremely pleased that Dowling has decided to make FYRe a universal companion to its first year experience programs," said Peter Kraft, chief executive officer and co-founder of GoalQuest. "We believe this decision reflects the quality of our content and real-time data as well as FYRe's proven track record in presenting information to students in a format they can truly embrace."

Dowling College also utilizes GoalQuest's eCRUIT™ and EYOp™ programs as part of its recruiting and yield efforts.
