Carson-Newman College Embraces GoalQuest Enrollment Management Suite College Sees Multi-Faceted Programs as Turnkey Extensions of Recruiting and Marketing Efforts New York, New York — June 21st, 2006 Carson-Newman College and GoalQuest Inc. today announced the success of their joint initiative to enhance the institution's enrollment management efforts. Carson-Newman has deployed GoalQuest's SmartSearch™, eCRUIT™ and EYOp™ (Enrollment Yield Optimization) programs, designed to help convert the school's cold leads into inquiries, applicants and, ultimately, matriculating students. The College also utilizes GoalQuest's PICS eCRUIT™ product (Parents Involved in College Selection) to create an alliance with parents during the critical window between student admission and enrollment. The programs immerse students and their parents in an interactive environment with content that explores subjects such as developing consideration criteria to find the right campus fit, financing a college education, navigating application timelines and requirements, weighing academic majors and options and honing college success skills prior to freshman year. Included in the programs are a range of value-added modules from the GoalQuest Universe™ suite of tools, such as UScene™, a feature that acquaints students with activities and events unique to the Jefferson City area, and UPeers™, an online community that enables admitted students to meet their classmates before arriving on campus. In addition, the school's enrollment management staff utilizes GoalQuest's real-time reporting indicators to track student attitudes toward the College. These indicators, components of the company's proprietary Reporting Center, help staff develop instant profiles of students' likelihood to inquire, apply and yield. According to Dr. Tom Huebner, director of undergraduate admissions at Carson-Newman, "I have been extremely impressed and pleased with our relationship with GoalQuest. Some companies charge an arm and a leg, then ask you to do all the work. GoalQuest has motivated people who are in touch with the needs and interests of prospective students and they have worked hard to develop a program that serves our mission. It's as close to a turnkey operation as I've seen in this business." "When we first began working with Carson-Newman, we were struck by how the school has been able to combine the tenets of its Christian faith mission with its extraordinary commitment and proven excellence in the liberal arts," said Peter Tomassi, GoalQuest's vice president of product development and editor-in-chief. "Carson-Newman's exquisite 90-acre, neo-Georgian campus as well as its rich history enabled our editorial team to paint a picture of a college whose rise to prominence as a premiere Southern institution will almost certainly continue to gain momentum and national notice." This academic year Carson-Newman will also launch a version of GoalQuest's FYRe™ (Freshman Year Retention) tool to help incoming students successfully make the personal and academic transition from high school to college and excel during their first year.
