Bowie State University Sees Enrollment Growth With GoalQuest eCRUIT™ and EYOp™ University Hits Historic High Following Debut of Web-based Programs New York, New York—September 12, 2007 Bowie State University and GoalQuest, a division of Halyard Education Partners, today announced a six percent increase in the University's freshman admitted student pool over last year, following the introduction of two of the company's web-based programs, eCRUIT™ and EYOp (enrollment yield optimization)™. "Bowie State University has experienced significant results since the implementation of the GoalQuest EYOp and eCRUIT modules for prospective and admitted students," said Donald Kiah, assistant vice president for enrollment management. "The enhanced level of student engagement was a factor in the University's historic fall 2007 freshman enrollment. We are looking forward to our continued partnership with GoalQuest and the addition of FYRe™, GYOp™ and GRP™ to assist us in our retention effort and to enhance our graduate student enrollment." eCRUIT is the full-service recruiting suite that helps enrollment managers boost the quality and quantity of their undergraduate applicants. GoalQuest EYOp is designed to increase the likelihood that admitted students will matriculate at a college by offering an array of timely pre-orientation content, such as networking tools (UPeers™) that encourage significant connections with other admitted students, current students as well as faculty and staff. Both programs offer participants community-building features such as blogging (UBlog™) and an interactive menu of things to do on and off campus (UScene™). Throughout the experience, students are also immersed in themes like financial aid, choosing a major, transitioning to college, getting involved on campus and career development. As part of each of its programs, the company assigns a complete creative and project management team, which acts as an extension of the University's office of admission and enrollment personnel. Designated staff can access a range of real-time reporting tools including automated alerts they may utilize to target particular students for personal follow-up or for additional campaigns. "As the oldest historically Black institution of higher learning in Maryland and one of the oldest in the United States, Bowie State chose GoalQuest for its ability to craft a unique message to prospects and admits while blending in features designed to get them to click," said Tracy Howe, GoalQuest co-founder and executive vice president. "While many vendors offer higher education 'software solutions,' we believe our approach of providing highly relevant, highly customized content coupled with powerful interactive and reporting tools is the reason for success stories like the one emerging at Bowie State."
