The University of Vermont Partners With GoalQuest
Innovative Program Helps UVM Connect With Parents of First-Year Students

New York, New York-- January 14, 2004-

The University of Vermont has enlisted GoalQuest, Inc., a software company providing automated, intelligence-based enrollment management tools, to develop an interactive communications program for parents of first-year UVM students. The program, Parent Connection, utilizes GoalQuest's AlumNet Parents™ product, designed to strengthen parent relations and parent development efforts.

GoalQuest's suite of Web-based tools includes highly customized programs for prospective, admitted and enrolled students; alumni; and parents of each of these audiences. In addition to its AlumNet Parents product, the company offers the proprietary eCRUIT™, EYOp™, FYRe™ and PICS™ programs, which dramatically improve communication effectiveness with various school constituents.

Each GoalQuest product is based on a proprietary messaging technology that deploys "nuggets" of information and engaging activities to a school's target audience, while monitoring engagement in that information over time. GoalQuest's Enrolligence™ index delivers real-time engagement data to provide schools with unprecedented communication intelligence for more informed decisions. This dynamic knowledge-base can help impact acceptance and enrollment yield, student attrition, alumni development and other key enrollment and development metrics.

Parent Connection provides parents with regular news updates, expert-written advice and ideas for getting more involved with UVM. Recent and upcoming topics include: understanding student privacy policies; helping students overcome exam stress; appreciating what new students want (and don't want) from their parents; health, wellness and safety on campus; troubleshooting academic problems; and much more. Parent Connection also allows parents to learn more about The Campaign for UVM and how they can participate.

According to Alan Ryea, UVM's Director of Alumni and Parent Programs, "Our interactions with the entire GoalQuest team and the support they have provided through our initial program design and launch efforts have all been first-class. The professionalism and expertise they bring to our partnership has led to a very successful start to the program here at the University of Vermont. Overall parent engagement with the GoalQuest program and the positive feedback we have received from the active users have pleasantly exceeded our initial expectations. I look forward to further using this tool to strengthen parent relationships with the University of Vermont while advancing the Development and Parent Relations objectives of the University."

Matthew Wade, GoalQuest's Vice President of Sales, added "The University of Vermont is working with GoalQuest to enhance its already leading edge and nationally recognized fund-raising efforts. They are an institution that constantly strives to attain new levels of excellence, one that never rests on its laurels. Our partnership will help UVM continue to raise the bar."

Parent Connection takes advantage of GoalQuest's new program features, including integrated Live Alerts to narrow-cast time-sensitive announcements, as well as custom survey and assessment modules.
