GoalQuest Selected to Present at NASPA Conference Sessions to Explore How Innovative Technology Can Impact Student Development and Retention | New York, New York | March 15, 2004 | GoalQuest today announced the details of two presentations it will
offer during the NASPA (National Association of Student Personnel Administrators)
2004 Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado, March 27-31. The sessions
will examine how the Company and its clients are using adaptive Web
technologies to impact enrollment management, student development, retention
and parent communications. Peter Kraft, Chief Executive Officer of GoalQuest, will lead one of the presentations, “Revolutionary Technology Solutions for Enrollment Management", which will be offered twice during the conference. This presentation will explore the use of technology in enrollment management and the impact of information on communication efforts in recruiting, retention, parent and alumni windows. “We are excited about our new partnership with NASPA and the opportunity to share our experience as a technology partner to colleges and universities across the country,” said Kraft. “GoalQuest is particularly pleased to show how its tools are helping thousands of students and parents reach out through a relevant and engaging medium.” NASPA, the leading organization for student affairs administration, policy and practice, recently approved GoalQuest’s suite of retention and student assessment tools and announced plans for a strategic partnership. Dr. Nancy Scott will lead an additional conference discussion, “Innovative Programs and Technology: A New Connection with Students.” This session will explore the increasing demand on higher education to meet academic and developmental needs more cost effectively, and how a strategic approach to Web technology can help schools strengthen connections with students. Dr. Scott will share her experience and results using GoalQuest’s FYRe™ retention programs at Kent State University. She is VP- Emeritus for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management (Kent State) and Chairperson of the GoalQuest Professional Advisory Council. GoalQuest’s suite of Web-based tools includes highly customizable programs for prospective, admitted and enrolled students; parents of each of these audiences; and alumni of all age cohorts. The company’s proprietary eCRUIT™, EYOp™, FYRe™ and PICS™ programs have achieved up to a ten-fold increase in audience engagement over traditional print, Web and e-mail communication tools. Each GoalQuest program is based upon a proprietary messaging technology that deploys “nuggets” of information and engaging activities to a school’s target audience, while carefully monitoring participation in that information over time. GoalQuest’s Enrolligence™ index delivers real-time engagement data that provides schools with unprecedented communication intelligence for more informed, data-supported decisions. Colleges and universities using this dynamic knowledge-base have realized significant gains in acceptance and enrollment yield, dramatically improved student retention rates, and increased alumni development, among other key enrollment and development metrics. The programs also build on the overwhelming research that shows effective school-to-parent communication significantly reduces student attrition.
