Loyola Marymount University Partners With GoalQuest, Inc.
GoalQuest Launches FYRe™ Program to Increase Student Engagement and Success on Campus

New York, New York-September 22, 2003 -

Loyola Marymount University has enlisted GoalQuest, Inc., a software company providing automated, intelligence-based enrollment management tools, to develop a Freshman Year Retention (FYRe™) program for its entering class.

GoalQuest provides a suite of Web-based tools that deliver highly customized programs to prospective, admitted and enrolled students; alumni; and parents of each of these audiences. The company's core products include the proprietary eCRUIT™, EYOp™, PICS™ and AlumNet™ programs, which dramatically improve communication effectiveness and efficiency with school constituents.

Each GoalQuest product is based on a proprietary messaging technology that deploys "nuggets" of information and engaging activities to a school's target audience, while monitoring engagement in that information over time. GoalQuest's Enrolligence™ index then delivers real-time engagement data to provide schools with unprecedented communication intelligence for more informed decisions. This dynamic knowledge-base can help impact acceptance and enrollment yield, student attrition, alumni development and other key enrollment and development metrics.

Loyola Marymount's custom FYRe program targets freshmen to increase overall retention and affect academic and social development. Each interactive module engages students with information on subjects ranging from academic skills and leadership development to avoiding roommate problems and risk behavior. The program enables students to provide feedback on their progress and to ask questions of participating university resources.

LMU's Vice President of Student Affairs, Lane Bove, said of the joint effort, "Loyola Marymount partnered with GoalQuest because of its experience in communicating to freshman audiences and its unique ability to provide up-to-the-minute intelligence that allows LMU to dynamically assess student engagement and monitor attrition risks."

According to Brian Behnke, GoalQuest's Vice President of Sales, "LMU is a very student-centered university that accords great importance to the care of its students and to individual attention. FYRe will distill and enhance LMU's current efforts to further underscore the university's commitment to mentoring, understanding and academic excellence."

Loyola Marymount will take advantage of GoalQuest's new program features, including integrated Live Alerts to narrow-cast time-sensitive announcements, as well as custom survey and assessment modules, which track student performance and satisfaction.
